Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee's directives are as follows.
- Motivate and equip members to share their faith with others.
- Involve members in the life of the church.
- Publicize the life and activities of the congregation to the surrounding communities.
- Inform members concerning the wider ministries of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod and the ELCA.
The Outreach Committees meets at the church on the last Tuesday of each month at 7pm to coordinate activities including those listed below.
- Faith Sharing witnesses
- Mailings to new residents
- Sponsors for new members
- The "Invite a Friend" program
- Committee membership
- Visits to prospective members
- Visits to inactive members
- Visits to shut-in and hospitalized members
- Writing news releases
- Updating messages on the church's sign
