"Growing to Know Christ":
A campaign
to build
our ministries
of
Christian Education
and
Fellowship
The GROWING TO KNOW CHRIST (GTKC) Campaign is now in the 22nd month of the 36-month commitment. Most members started their commitments in June 2003 and will complete them in May 2006. Most of the building expansion is completed; a few final touches remain inside. When the ground thaws, work on landscaping and the playground will begin.
Our Sunday School classes used the new classrooms for the first time on March 6 and they were very excited about their new class areas. One of the classes made a "Thank You" poster and put it on display to thank all the members of All Saints for making the new classrooms possible. The enlarged space and new classrooms eliminate the need to continually talk louder in order to be heard over the noise from the other classrooms. Now, both teachers and students can talk and be heard in their respective rooms. What a great way to show the young people how vital they are to the congregation and the body of Christ!
The financial committee for the campaign is hard at work on finalizing the mortgage that All Saints will need to pay off the construction loan that was in place while the expansion was in progress. In order to minimize the amount of the mortgage, we are encouraging members to bring their GTKC commitments up to date and, if possible, prepay the remaining amount of the pledge that isn’t due until 2006.

The expansion included:
- Four new flexible classrooms to accommodate eight Sunday School or Confirmation classes. (This space could also be used for a Christian pre-school.)
- Expanded facilities for the Youth Group, that are large enough for 60 young people to meet in a group or break into smaller discussion groups.
- Larger, more suitable rooms for adult education, a library and a conference room.
- A music room for both rehearsal and storage of music equipment.
- Gathering space on the entry-level for fellowship and community-building, including a larger, more-efficient kitchen.
- An elevator to make the entire building accessible for persons with disabilities as well as members who have difficulty with stairs.
- Modernized restrooms.
